About Kate

I am an experienced psychotherapist working in Aberdeen, offering psychotherapy and counselling for adults and young adults.


Offering a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment I can help you explore your feelings, thoughts and behaviours.  Together, we will work to navigate and manage your difficulties, with the ultimate aim of enhancing your sense of well being and in turn, enabling you to lead a fuller and more satisfying life.




Professional Qualifications and Experience

Post Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy Distinction awarded in 2016, accredited by Newman University. I qualified in November 2015, with Distinction in the Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, accredited by BACP.

Since 2013 I have been working one day a week at a GP surgery, and set up my private practice in January 2016.

BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) Registered Member.
UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) Registered Member.
Northern Guild member.

Confidentiality is of the utmost importance in the session and therefore I abide by the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling & Psychotherapy and the UKCP, Code of Ethics.

All my work is appropriately supervised in accordance with the BACP and UKCP guidelines.  While training, I have undergone intensive psychotherapy of my own, which I consider necessary and important, when offering counselling to others.
